That's basically what I just said, lol.

The difference is Cadillac is still finding themselves, they just have a couple models that has been their bread and butter for regular people and fleet reasons but the rest fail to prove themselves in the market, like the ATS. Compared to JLR and most models do well globally and in individual markets.

CadillacFan Fortunately for JLR they can get away with it to some extent but Cadillac can't play that game, they haven't built up enough rapport, they haven't even started getting their feet wet. It's only with certain models Cadillac offers that people will turn a blind eye to problems, the Escalade being one.

Grill Thankfully. It's not like they're the only manufacturer to have this issue either, even guys like Jaguar have this same issue and I think they resolved theirs. I don't doubt Cadillac to take this into consideration and make the fine tuning changes to get it right. Thankfully it isn't something catastrophic that'll be a pain to fix and cause driving related issues down the road.

Depending on how bad it is, it may deter me, but I may just be saying that now because I'm being a suck about it. I'm sure when I go and inspect them at the dealership, I won't find it that bad or I'll just find everything else good enough to make me not think about it.

Same here but fortunately it's not something that will cause the XT5 to be a complete write off for years, instead its something they could possibly fix for the next model year, all depending on how bad they need to have this addressed.

But being the sort of thing your always around and always seeing, out of most concerns it will be one area that really stands out.

Is poor fit and finish enough to keep you away from the XT5?

XT5 Gets 3 Stars!

Has anyone been paying attention to the reviews out there currently? Because Car and Driver has one and it currently ranks the XT5 a 3/5, which while not entirely disappointing if there are a number of things you like about it, but at the same time its low enough to start asking questions.

The review can be seen here: http://www.caranddriver.com/cadillac/xt5
