Is there any way to turn off the rear cargo lights (left & right) when the cargo door is opened . No need for the to come on
during the day!!!!

The easiest way will be to unplug the fuse for that specific light setup. Have you check the fuse box as yet?

After researching fuses I find that the fuse controls more accessories therefore decided not to pursue any further....

I try not to mess with anything electrical because unplugging the wrong thing can spell out a world of trouble. The only other way would be to remove the light bulbs, but that means the rear cargo won't light up at night either.

Yeah I don't think its worth fiddling with for a minor annoyance. They should have just tied them into the rest of the interior lights, which can usually be shut off with a switch.
