Cadillac Future Plans

Cadillac was obviously at the Geneva show and they had the Escala Concept on display of course. However, they did provide a bit of insight on what to expect out of them for the next couple years.

The XT4 crossover will be launching next year in the US but that's not all. After the XT4, Cadillac will be bringing a new vehicle to the market every 6 months until a total of 5 new car lines are brought to surface in the space of 2 years.

A new model every 6 months? That's ambitious of them, but it could work out in their favor if thy take the market and a variety of segments by storm. IO can see the XT4 appealing to those who wanted a smaller version of the XT5.

Extremely ambitious.

The marketing and development of those products must be on overdrive because pushing out that many vehicles in such an extremely short time span sounds insane. I guess we'll have to wait and see if they actually follow through with it. But spy shots of their vehicles should be surfacing

Well, it's not that hard since if you look at what some of the well established brands have going for themselves, its a lot of inbetween models. BMW is a great example of this, among many others.

Then there's the whole platform, powetrain and drivetrain side of things which will get shared among a range of models to some extent. So it's not all that crazy as it might seem to be. They aren't going back to the drawing board with every model.
