Tire wear

I have a 2017 XT5 with 22,000 miles on it and the Dealer is telling me that the tires have less than 3/32 on them. The tires are Michelin LTX 235/65R18. Is this standard for these tires? I see Michelin states on there web site these tires are 60,000 Warranty but yet my dealer says that they do not have any warranty. Has anyone else run in to this, with the tires which came on the new XT5

You can get a tread depth gauge for a buck or two and check it for sure. I'm not too sure how well they hold up though but I don't think they should need changing or anything that soon

Thanks Grill I did check them and they are about 3/32. I don't think they should be wore down that bad with only 22,000 miles, not to be covered under a warranty is something I fell is not right.

Check with a michelin tire dealer about a tire warranty.

That's really odd.. Also helps to check how much tire tread the tires came with initially. But like @SMP said, contacting Michellin about it is the best route because either way, the warranty will be through them. The dealers will pull the "We don't make the tires so we can't warranty wear" argument.

I contacted Michelin and they responded back to me and ask me to take my vehicle to one of the dealers in my area which they had suggested in their response. It sounds like they are going to warranty but we will see. Want to thank everyone for their help and will post how thing turn out thanks.
