Thumbs down Realy Disappointed

If you have ever owned a SRX the new XT5 is a big dissapointment. The near total lack of convenience in the cockpit is upsetting. No longer do I have a two tier consule box, or a shelf in the glove box, or a coin cup, or a cover for the little storage hole under the a/c control ( now a carpeted hole that collects lint) I now have a hole under the consule that is so low as to be a dangerrous to access while driving and will carry little more than a box of tissue. The phone charging area does not alow enough room to see phone with out running into the cup holder The lid on cup holder is useless unless you never put anything in the cup holders The carpet in the cargo area is fraying like steel wool. after a month. Perhaps the least convenient thing is the re-engineered shifter. (why screw around with this?) Bose 14 speaker audio is awsome. It is one of the very few things I like about this redesigned SUV. The cargo area is still to narrow. I cannot get a golf bag in sideways with a driver in bag as you can in the Murono by Nissan. I guess I blew this puchase by not realizing what I would be missing. This will not happen again. My wifes 2016 CTS is a much better design. I hope this helps someone to not make the same mistake.

I have to agree, this is the first time im hearing negative feedback like this. Sadly for folks like OP, they are on the chopping block, instead car makers are catering to where things are going and that is people being minimalist. Just look around everywhere outside of the automotive spectrum and you'll see what I mean.
